    Shutting down the Business World

Just as the reported cases and fatalities are continuing to rise each day so are the costs to businesses around the world. Many countries are implementing financial relief programs, but these will inevitably prove to be far too little, far too late for many businesses. Yesterday’s news reported that across the US more than 1 in 4 construction sites have been idled, and there’s more to come. In an industry that demands work in place for revenue recognition this is already taking a hefty toll.

In this first forum discussion let’s address this from today’s perspective; work is slowing and in many areas stopping completely, how will you handle this situation?

Getting back to work, when will it be normal again?

Right now, everyone’s attention is on getting over the “hump”, we want to see the slowing of new Coronavirus cases, we want to see the travel bans lifted, and we are anxious to get back to business as usual. This isn’t just a long weekend, or a planned holiday. We are going back to pick up the pieces and see what happened during the mass exodus from the world’s business activities. What will it cost to simply get our staff back to work and remobilize our jobs sites? And, how long will it take for the supply chain to refill, and productivity to recover? All of this comes at a cost to you.
