This course is designed to provide a well-rounded understanding of prefabrication. Participants will gain thorough knowledge of the benefits of Externalizing Work® and how these processes can enable them to reduce risk, become more profitable, and embrace safer work environments. The class is an active learning experience in which engages participants in hands-on undertakings that will allow them to put into practice the knowledge learned immediately upon course completion.
This course will empower participants to adopt the proper prefabrication process that are becoming the key to survival in the construction industry as it rises to meet the increasing market demands. Industrialization and globalization of the construction design, procurement, and build process has forced more and more contractors to adopt prefabrication and vendor-managed inventory processes and programs. Gain the foundation to establish solid and efficient processes from the very beginning. It is the building block that is essential to an optimal electrical construction business model. Successful contractors are the ones who arm themselves with the tools to drastically improve their productivity.
This course addresses the key steps in effectively designing and implementing prefabrication as well as how to blend this in as an integral part of an all-encompassing productivity management system that includes Job Productivity Assurance and Control (JPAC®), Short Interval Scheduling (SIS®) , and vendor managed inventory. Participants will learn how to apply MCA’s latest research on construction productivity to bring dramatic improvements in profitability to their company.
